After a successful 25-year career in Retail Management, I was seeking a new professional chapter—one defined by personal growth and meaningful impact. When I discovered LKQ UK & Ireland, I was drawn by the company’s reputation for valuing its people and creating opportunities for development at every career stage.
My journey began in the National Distribution Centre based in Tamworth, UK. What started as a therapeutic change of pace soon became a platform for growth. It was clear LKQ was commitment to upskilling its workforce. The company recognized my ambition and potential, and that’s when I progressed into joining the training team in our National Distribution Centre.
As a member of the training team, I was empowered to make a positive difference—mentoring colleagues and supporting their professional journeys. Our culture of trust and continuous improvement motivated me to pursue new challenges, and I was honoured to be selected as ‘Guest Co-Ordinator’.
