Poing, Germany. On July 2, 2025, the LKQ DACH CDC Sulzbach-Rosenberg not only celebrated its 30th anniversary, but also the inauguration of the new highly efficient shuttle warehouse. LKQ DACH is the largest region of LKQ Europe, the main European player in car parts wholesale. With the expansion of the central distribution center, the region, which includes LKQ STAHLGRUBER and LKQ PV AUTOMOTIVE, is consistently expanding its logistics location in Bavaria: The new five-lane shuttle system works with state-of-the-art robots that move goods automatically, quickly and precisely on several levels. The expansion offers space for around 200,000 additional storage locations.

In total, the Sulzbach-Rosenberg CDC, which now covers approx. 120,000 square meters, houses around 200,000 items in the areas of automotive spare parts, accessories, workshop equipment and tools. It is one of the most efficient CDCs in the industry in Europe and one of the most important job engines for the region.

Long-term strengthening of the infrastructure

"By investing in the CDC in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, we have set a clear signal for the future viability of the location and expanded and strengthened our infrastructure in the long term. As one of the leading wholesalers for car parts, we see ourselves not only as a reliable partner for our customers, but also as an important employer with responsibility for the region," says Michael Schuster, CEO LKQ DACH.

LKQ DACH is also strengthening its international infrastructure with the expansion of the Sulzbach-Rosenberg distribution center: the Austrian and Swiss markets are now also even better connected via the broad logistics network. "The expansion of the warehouse infrastructure optimizes the performance and service quality for our customers in the entire DACH region," says Friedhelm Glormann, COO LKQ DACH. "By increasing the level of automation, we are also competitively positioned for the future."

In addition to the expansion of the Sulzbach-Rosenberg site to include the highly efficient shuttle storage system, LKQ DACH recently pursued another major project: last year, the logistics network in Bielefeld was significantly expanded with an innovative CDC including a state-of-the-art AutoStore concept. Together with the CDC in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, the Bielefeld CDC ensures the supply of LKQ DACH customers - from Flensburg to Graz and Geneva.
