LKQ Academy to expand on-demand training across Europe
Zug, Switzerland. Independent workshops across Europe are set to gain easier access to the skills needed to service increasingly complex vehicles through a major expansion of LKQ Academy.
LKQ Academy is LKQ Europe’s training and development program for automotive aftermarket professionals, covering technical, workshop and business skills through online and face-to-face courses.
The rollout of its new online platform has started in the UK and Ireland, with rollout across Europe expected to be complete by 2027.
It will give technicians and workshop owners 24/7 access to online learning, while making it easier to find and book face-to-face courses. Customers can search by course type, skill area and supplier, manage bookings and payments, and view their training history through a personal profile. Individual technicians’ learning records will remain with them if they move to another workshop.
Each market will continue to provide courses and local-language content shaped around its customers, supported by a common European platform.
LKQ Academy currently has more than 7,000 registered users across Europe, with more than 2,000 courses available across 13 markets* and in ten languages.

LKQ Academy is developing new training in response, working with its European teams and supplier partners on content covering emerging technologies.
This includes a proposed blended program with Valeo focused on new powertrains, electrification and advanced driver assistance systems. It is expected to combine short digital modules with practical regional training and a follow-up webinar.
The platform will also show which topics customers are searching for and where demand for training is greatest, helping LKQ Academy focus future investment on the skills workshops need most.
